
Veronika Marek Markovičová, Peter Marek – Together (Each Differently)

Veronika Marek Markovičová (*1983) engages in art photography, works as a curator, journalist and translator. She graduated in film and theater studies at the Faculty of Arts of Palacký University in Olomouc (2008), Department of Photography and New Media at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava (2014) and an internship at FAMU in Prague (2013). In her work, she explores in collage way an analogue language and photography material. She constructs and deconstructs the narrative of her life. Since 2000 she has been presenting her work at author and group exhibitions at home and abroad. She lives and works in Bratislava. (www.veromar.sk)
Peter Marek (*1968) is a photographer who has gradually gone through various genres and forms of photography. He works at the Slovak National Gallery, which
allowed him to resign from commercial photography. He now appreciates only his free creation. He also works as a pedagogist of photography at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. Since 1995 he has been presenting his work at author and group exhibitions at home and abroad. For past 4 years, together with Veronika Marek Markovičová they have been preparing and moderating Photo-Mondays in the Slovak National Gallery. At this exhibition he presents photographs from the long-term cycle Lesography. He seeks balance and calm in it, which he tries to gets across to the viewer. He lives and works in Bratislava.
